The road to State...

McKenna's spring baseball season ended with a bang this year!!  We went to State the first time in school history in the Fall 2013.  We were so excited!  We actually weren't expecting to go back to State this Spring because the playoff road is much harder.  We dropped in the rankings toward the end of our season, so our Region was a little tougher.  We won Districts then proceeded onto Regionals.  We were up against the #7 team in the state, and ended up getting beat the first time we played them...since it was double elimination, we had to come back the next day and beat them TWICE!  And, we did!!!  It was so awesome!  Our boys dung deep and showed ALL heart in those last games!

We have a very small team, but they have played together since they were 3,4 and 5 years old.  There's not a team around that has a stronger bond than these boys!
McKenna and his bud Trevor, these boys are actually cousins but are better friends.

During Regionals, Reese made friends with the opposing teams son, this was too cute!  She lead him around for 3 days and he did exactly what she wanted to!

Regional CHAMPIONS!!  So proud of these kids!

To say we are proud of this kid, is an understatement!  He is 17, he works for Clint, feeding, working in the hayfield, and working cattle.  He maintains mostly A's in his grades, ( I think he has ONE B) , he takes care of Reese when I need him too, without griping!  He does not hesitate to talk about his faith with anyone, he's a great athlete on the field and the court.  We love him so much and enjoy watching him play sports so much!  He's a great encourager to his teammates and loves competition!
Congrats Coach!!!
The morning we left for State, Reese wanted so bad to get on the bus!

We got a fire engine escort out of town, I guess you have to be from a small town to understand!!!
Announcing the starting line up at State

It was a tough way to end the season, but we are so, so proud!
We are sad to see such an amazing season come to an end, and we'll miss the Seniors something fierce!  We love these boys!!!
