33 weeks

How far along:33 weeks and 3 days

 Size of baby: 17 inches long and a little over 4 pounds, but like I said last week, Miss Reese was measuring close to 5 pounds 3 weeks ago! My doctor made the comment,"she isn't going to be small." I will have another U/S at 36 weeks, so we will see then!

Gender: Sweet baby girl! Kodi Reese

Weight gain: 15 pounds

 Movement:She moves a lot! It feels like she is flipping over and over in there! Sometimes she must hit my stomach or something, because I get nauseous! Weird, I know!

Sleep: My sleep is good, when I get to sleep. I get up at least 4 times a night to go to the bathroom!


Symptoms:The only thing bothering me right now is my legs. I have terrible "restless legs." I have tried EVERY remedy I have been told about...my Dr. doubled up on my Iron and had me eliminate caffeine, but that really hasn't helped much. At my last appointment, he told me to take a Bendryl at bedtime, that is the last resort, other than just deal with it. 


Cravings: I am in love with Sprite right now! I can't have caffeine right now and LOVE that fizz! 

Best moments of the week:  Had my Dr.'s appt this week and we discussed what is fixing to start happening...so exciting!  I will start going every week next visit (in 2 weeks).  He is going to check me for the first time!  Scary and exciting all at the same time!  He said he could tell she has moved down in my pelvis and I told him I could tell also!  Her heart rate was perfect and she is still measuring "a little large"  Next appt May 16th!

Baby BP's "Sprinkle"

Yesterday at my work, we celebrated my sweet friend's upcoming Baby Boy!  This is baby #2, so we chose to "sprinkle" her with all things BOY!  Bethany has a precious little girl, Addison, she came to "help" and see what all baby brother got!

Sherri, Bethany and I have worked together in the Radiation Oncology department for several years and we have so enjoyed each other! We were so excited when Addison was born and now my baby Reese and Bethany's new baby will only be 3 weeks apart. It's thrown "Auntie S" into overdrive!! Bethany was "sprinkled" with lots of goodies for Baby BP. We work with such loving co workers! Everyone enjoyed the food, watching her open all the adorable boy things, and the favors! Now we just sit and wait for the little guys arrival!!

32 Weeks

How far along:32 weeks

Size of baby: The book says she should be about 17 inches long and 3.75 pounds...however, my little overachiever weighs around 5 pounds already!

Gender: a sweet, sweet baby girl! Kodi Reese

Weight gain:11 pounds

Movement:all the time! She is quite active!!!

Sleep: I'm good t.o get 3 or 4 hours in a row a night.

Symptoms:Restless legs...ugh! I have tried some many different remedies to cure this, but the general consensus is....just deal with it.

Cravings: Not really anything in particular....I have to have water all the time!

Best moment of the week:Getting the final touches put on the nursery....pictures to come. I have a Dr. appt tomorrow, excited about that!!!

25 Weeks

How far along: 25 weeks and 4 days
Size of baby: 13.5 inches, about the size of a rutabaga. 1.5 pounds
Gender: It's a GIRL!! Kodi Reese
Weight gain: Kinda bouncing between 9.5 and 10 pounds
Movement: Yes! I love feeling her move. Everytime she moves, it just makes me more thankful of this miracle!
Sleep: Usually pretty good, but lately I have had "restless legs" and have to get up and walk around. It makes for a long night!
Symptoms: None to drastic. I learned this week I was anemic, so I am now taking prescription Iron. I'm okay with the Iron, its the unpleasant side effects that I don't like. Those of you who have taken Iron know what I am talking about!
Cravings: Nothing this week. I can't get enough water...as a result, I spend a lot of time in the bathroom!
Best moment of the week: Passing my glucose test! I was really worried since my sister had gestational diabetes, but I got the "all clear"! We got the mattress for the bed, so I started washing all the bedding, I am so excited to see the nursery come together!!

24 weeks

How far along: 24 weeks, 4 days
Size of baby: 12.5 in. 1.25 pounds
Gender: It's a GIRL!! Kodi Reese
Weight gain: 9.5 pounds
Movement: All the time and I love it. She is especially active at night!!
Sleep: Pretty decent, it takes a little while to get comfortable.
Symptoms: Not many, I have some indigestion in the evening almost everyday. But nothing Tums won't cure!!
Cravings: Milk. Crazy, I know. I drink almost 2 gallons a week by myself!
Best moment of the week: I had a Dr. appt on Thursday, he said everything is on track and perfect. I scheduled my 3D for March 29th, can't wait!

23 Weeks and a nursery "sneak peek"

How far along: 23 weeks, 4 days
Size of baby: almost 12 inches, 1.5 pounds!
Gender: It's a GIRL....Kodi Reese
Weight gain: a little over 8 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Definately! I do enjoy the maternity pants with the comfy band! HA! and I am still loving yoga pants.
Movement: Yes! She apparently loves basketball games! We have been to several high school playoff games lately and she went crazy! I so hope she LOVES basketball as much as her mama does! (Hint, hint, Reese!) She also loves to move when I lay down at night...from 10 to midnight, she's pretty active. My sister insists she is already in a sleep pattern, if so, she is going to be a night owl, and I am NOT! We may have a problem there!!
Sleep: Pretty good, I love to sleep on my belly and that is getting almost impossible! I wake up at least once or twice to go to the bathroom.
Symptoms: None really, had a couple of episodes of indigestion but nothing a few Tums wouldn't cure. I've had bad leg cramps the past week, don't have a clue if that is pregnancy related or not?? Anyone?
What I miss: I can't think of a single thing I would rather be doing right now than growing a baby!! :)
Cravings: My salt has been replaced with chocolate milk! I love to have a glass at bedtime!
Best moment of the week: Getting the nursery painted and the carpets cleaned...that means MOVE IN THE FURNITURE!! We have the changing table and bed put up and are going to tackle the dresser next weekend. See below for a nursery "sneak peek."

I have a Dr. appt on Thursday, I am excited to see my little Reese on the U/S! Hopefully, he will get a good 4D picture this week.



I received the bedding this week and couldn't wait to rip it open and see it. It was perfect! I love it. The wall is a very pale Robin's egg blue, the picture isn't showing the "true" shade...but, take my word, it's perfect. And, yes, I have been asked many, many times....my nursery IS blue, but I am still having a GIRL!! Trust me, it will be very femine when I am finished, I am just not a girly pink kinda girl. Red is more my color and I have some cute red accessories planned!!

21 Weeks!

How far along: 21 weeks 4 days

Size of baby: about 10 oz, the size of a carrot

Total weight gain: 5 pounds

Gender: It's a GIRL!! Kodi Reese

Cravings: anything salty, especially olives!

Sleep: Sporatic...get up twice to visit the bathroom, been waking up about 3:30 a.m. and never really go back to sleep before my alarm at 5:45

What I miss: Nothing really! I am so happy to finally be pregnant!

Symptoms: None, I've felt really good.

Best moment of the week: Doing my first shower registery at Babies R Us. It was fun! I'm expecting the baby bedding this week!!!
